I jumped too! Three cats were in their house, chilling at the screen door. Just minding their business and mesmerized by a bird on the front stoop. While they were all distracted by the birdie evisceration potential, the mean-spirited dog of the family snuck up on them. Perhaps he’s a bird lover. Anyway, he leapt and SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF THOSE CATS. I think the middle one is dead from fright and his corpse is still stuck to the ceiling. It will be Christmas time and he’ll suddenly land in the egg nog.
That dog better watch out. Cats can be evil. Some are murderous. When I was a teen, we had a cat named Muffin that tried to kill me. Muffin tripped me at the top of a flight of stairs. I rolled down them, and lay dazed but overall unharmed at the bottom. I looked up. Muffin was at the top of the stairs, glaring at me, her tail twitching in disappointment that my head was still on correctly. And I didn’t do shit to her! The pooch better hope one of those cats he freaked out isn’t a Muffin.
