Australia’s wildlife is usually an unerringly reliable delivery system of venom and gaping jaws to bring the life of an unsuspecting human to a swift and grim conclusion, but there are always a few exceptions. When kangaroos aren’t dramatically expressing their distaste for Sarah Jessica Parker’s perfume or punching paragliders, they occasionally enjoy sharing affection with us, even though they can take it a bit too far.
Zac Efron, 33, in Australia for his Netflix show, Down to Earth with Zac Efron, has been hanging out with baby kangaroos and swimming with dolphins, so today we get a reprieve from all the carnage and get to focus on some cuteness.
According to Elle:
Life in Australia has been very good to Zac Efron—and the actor, who’s currently shooting the second season of his Netflix show Down to Earth With Zac Efron—has been kind enough to share a rare glimpse of what he’s doing these days with his millions of fans on Instagram. Efron has been swimming shirtless with dolphins and cuddling with baby kangaroos. He’s also clean shaven now, which is a different look for the actor who’s been sporting a beard for a while.
What will the premise of Down to Earth With Zac Efron season 2 be? According to Deadline, Efron will travel “around Australia with wellness expert Darin Olien in search of healthy, sustainable ways to live.” There will be lots of beautiful areas on display in the show as Olien and Efron “seek out sustainable practices in a way that is both educational and enlightening, embracing local food, culture and customs throughout their journey.”
Zac has grown so enchanted with Australia that he is reportedly looking for property and planning to call it his permanent home (he might want to check out the spider situation before committing to a location). Here are pics of Zac and his 29-year-old brother, Dylan Efron, playing with a baby kangaroo:
And here’s a video of Zac swimming and frolicking with some playful dolphins who have probably never even heard of Sarah Jessica Parker’s kangaroo-enraging perfume:
