Nobody puts Janet Jackson in a corner unless it means she’s the first mention of a long-ass list of music acts for the UK’s version of Coachella. It’s that time of year when all your insufferable friends post to Instagram of the music fests they’re buying tickets to in order to wear coochie cutters. The Glastonbury lineup was released, and The Killers and The Cure are the leading headliners followed by Stormzy, Kylie Minogue (going by her first name only just to rub it in Kyie Jenner’s failed legal action face), and THEN Janet Jackson. I’m sure Janet can handle playing caboose to Kylie but not those others! She released her own poster, and it brings Miss Nasty to first place.
Stereogum says the original poster was done by Stanley Donwood and it came out like this:
Here is the first Glastonbury Festival 2019 line-up poster, which includes our final two Pyramid Stage headliners: @TheKillers (Saturday) and @TheCure (Sunday). Many more acts and attractions still to be announced. pic.twitter.com/jYOoTQQurf

Considering pop stars aren’t exactly known for their humility, it probably shouldn’t come as a shock that Janet promoted the event with a little, erm, personalized version of the poster:

This isn’t the first time a musician has bitched about their name placement on a concert poster. 2 Chainz was pissed he got low billing at last year’s Governor’s Ball poster, and a U.K. band called the Sherlocks even pulled a Janet last year by coming out with a poster that nudged up their own placement for something called the Y Not festival. Honestly, I think the bigger shock here is that Janet wasn’t joined by Miley Cyrus, Lauryn Hill, Diplo, and, well, everyone else on the Glastonbury list in doctoring the poster for their own gain. Hell, if Madonna had been given this treatment, she would have made it where her name was the ONLY name on the list.
