Live shows have lately become a living diorama of society’s social deficits and the atrophy of human decency and decorum. A few months back, we had the orchestra orgasmer. Earlier this month, a fan injured Bebe Rexha by hurling his cell phone at her face during a performance, and another fan made his way up to the stage and slapped Ava Max. And this past weekend, a fan oblivious to anything but her own “Pick me! I wanna go viral!” desires tossed a bag of her powdered mom up on stage, much to the pretty well-handled bewilderment and disgust of Pink. It was such a baffling offering that it overshadowed another fan at the same show passing a strange gift to the stage that Pink received with much more enthusiasm: a huge wheel of brie cheese!
Pink must be a next-level cheese lover because The Dail Mail says she seemed elated to accept the unorthodox concert offering, even though it was probably passed around and danced on during one of her London concerts this past Saturday.
Pink sank to her knees in delight as she spotted a huge wheel on brie making its way through the crowd to her at the British Summer Time Hyde Park concert on Saturday.
Pink was singing her hit Perfect when she noticed the wheel of Brie De Meaux, a French cheese.
The singer, 42, received a number of gifts on stage, with a fan even throwing her mother’s ashes.
Though Pink said she “didn’t know how to feel” about handling a bag of a stranger’s cremains (horrified is the correct answer), her positive feelings about scoring some good £60 – £100+ (or about $76-$127+) cheese were evident–she nodded in approval when she spotted it in the crowd, told the fan she loved them after she secured the wheel, and then looked genuinely excited to spread that shit on some crackers as soon as the show was over. Here’s the whole interaction:

This concert had everything: a doggy bag of mom, ever-present tough rawker girl energy, a giant body-warmed wheel of cheese, Gwen Stefani, and a proposal in the crowd. But it leads me to wonder what kind of shift happened that traditionally stage-tossed gifts like flowers or poorly drawn fan art aren’t the norm anymore. If weird’s the new thing, I at least hope a different fan heaved a box of Lactaid up there to prevent Pink from possibly getting the tummy rumbles when she inevitably did her (I mean, kind of redundant at this point) aerial acrobatics!
