For the past few years, Spirit Airlines has become the bottom-of-the-barrel option for those traveling on a tight budget. And with prices lower than the total of a Target run (sometimes round-trip), most passengers aren’t expecting five-star service or amenities during their flight. But a new video on TikTok showing one of Spirit’s flight attendants breaking down just how cheap Spirit is has gone viral, reminding everyone that once you pay for your ticket, Spirit can’t do anything else for you except charge you out the ass for everything else.
The New York Post reports an unidentified flight attendant showed everyone that Spirit is merely the name of the company and not something that runs rampant through any of its employees. Tired of people asking if there would be a snack or a place to plug in their electronics, our siren of the not-so-friendly skies immediately let everyone know, “Bitch, this ain’t Delta.” And what followed was a hilarious tirade that reminded everyone exactly what adventure they were getting by flying with Spirit.
The TikTok, which was posted in mid-March, and has since gained 278,000 views, shows the unnamed flight attendant during her pre-flight announcement informing passengers that if they wanted something extra, the airline will most likely make them pay for it.
In the video, the flight attendant says that if they had extra items such as blankets, outlets or if the seats reclined, Spirit would charge.
“No, we do not have sockets for you to plug up your phones, because if we did, we will charge you,” said the flight attendant to the laughing passengers.“No, we do not have blankets for you, because if we did, this is Spirit, and we will charge you. No, your seats do not recline. If they did, again, this is Spirit, and we will charge you.”
“And no, we do not have earplugs for you because if we did, y’all know this is Spirit, and we will do what,” asked the flight attendant.
“Charge you!” a passenger shouted out.

Ironically this lady is my “spirit” animal because this would be me as a flight attendant. I’m not getting you a pillow or answering any questions. Just shut the hell up and enjoy this cheap ass flight because, apparently, the only thing that’s free with Spirit is shitty customer service.
