Dating has always been a bit of a nightmare. And with Tinder Swindlers riddling the world of dating apps, it’s never been more difficult! But in addition to men who claim that their enemies are after them and need to use your Amex card, there’s your classic date who thinks they’re too good for you. This was the case for Tinder user Jess who was told in no uncertain terms that she wasn’t attractive enough to date. And we all thought that chivalry was dead!
Jess was just another Tinder girl looking for love in (apparently) all the wrong places. But one day, the clouds parted and she matched with a seemingly perfect gentleman. Sadly, her dreams of true love were quickly dashed when he opened his ignorant mouth! via Newsweek:
Posting to TikTok under the username @jesspalumbo16, the woman, Jess, shared a screenshot of the now-viral message and wrote: “I love the dating scene.” The video has received more than 470,000 views and hundreds of comments from viewers venting frustrations about online dating.
“Hey J,” read the man’s first message to Jess. “We should hang out tomorrow. [You] look fun. I have my own house. Come over.”
Jess replied, “No one ever wants to go on dates anymore lol.”
Rather than offer to take her out, the man lobbed an insult at Jess and reiterated that he’d like her to come over to his house.
“Haha you’re not hot enough sorry honey,” he wrote. “[Definitely] would have [you] over to play though.”

Wow, his very own house? In THIS ECONOMY! But no house is worth the trouble of a grown person who uses the phrase “have you over to play.” Jess quickly took her experience to TikTok where the video went a little viral. Commenters were shocked by the dude’s overconfidence and the roast began!
“Not [J]immy [N]eutron thinking he can speak to you like that,” wrote Raiderz.
“What grown man says ‘have you over to play?'” asked one user. “We playing hopscotch or what? Bye.”
Thevern01 added, “I bet he tells women that he’s completely different than all other men.”
Thank God for the internet. It’s great for boosting your mood after someone calls you ugly for no reason! This man asked a woman to “play” and then called her “not hot enough” when she mentioned that she’d prefer a date? Looking at him, he probably would’ve taken her to Denny’s, ordered a glass of water and a grand slam, and then left her with the bill. Jess dodged a bullet in this one. As an OLD who has never used a dating app, I think I’d prefer chatting with one of those single men near me that I keep getting in my Yahoo! Mail inbox. They look very real and they’ve called me beautiful on multiple occasions. Tinder just can’t compete with that kind of service!
