TV Line says that next January we are in for Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer. The original 2003 series starred, Evan Marriott, who did not own Marriott but worked in construction. The 20 contestants he dated thought he was a millionaire when in fact, he was not. In the end, Evan ended up choosing Zora Andrich. The two won $1 million and split the money. They also split up because, duh, a TV relationship? How many of them work out? Well, it’s back and this time there will be two single men: a millionaire and an “average Joe” with little to his name. Hopefully, the contestants can sniff out the Tom Ford over the Axe Body Spray because they won’t know who is who.

via TV Line:

The revamped For Richer or Poorer, per the official logline, “will feature two single men–one is a millionaire, and the other is an “average Joe” with little to his name. Twenty women will date both of them, but they will have no idea which Joe is rich. As love connections are made and each guy finds his perfect match, the women must ask themselves what is more important… love or money?”

SPOILER ALERT: It’ll be money. Rob Wade, the President, Alternative Entertainment & Specials for Fox Entertainment said in a statement:

“This revival of Joe Millionaire represents a potent combination: one of the most innovative and popular dating shows of all time with SallyAnn Salsano, who ranks among the most fearless producers in the business… I’ve long admired Joe Millionaire for its daring premise, and since the moment I joined Fox, I’ve wanted to bring it back in the spotlight in a whole new way for both new viewers and fans of the original.”

Six years ago Joe appeared on Entertainment Tonight and told them about how he was back to being a normal person and how the fame faded almost as fast as it came. Something for a new batch of people to look forward to! Here’s a promo for the new JM2:

Why are we doing this? I don’t care about this show unless at the end of each week the eliminated woman is dropped down a trap door. Then I’ll watch it.
