Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel have clearly accepted that they are nemeses and will never let their feud rest. Earlier this past summer, Vin reminded us about their feud which stemmed from their time on the Fast and the Furious films together. Vin said he gave Dwayne “tough love” to help him reach his acting prowess. Dwayne laughed that shit off, but now he’s jabbing back at Vin in his Netflix movie, Red Notice; co-starring Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot. In it, there’s a joke about Mr. Diesel. But hey, it didn’t come from Dwayne! He said that people just always come up to him and tell him Vin Diesel jokes unprovoked! You can’t stop people from cracking on Vin Diese. It’s not The Rock’s fault.
Dwayne has shit on Vin a few times recently. Just last month, he appeared in Vanity Fair and talked about how he called Vin “chicken shit” and “candy ass” on Instagram. While Dwayne said sharing the post was a mistake, he didn’t really walk any of it back:
“I meant what I said. For sure. I mean what I say when I say it. But to express it publicly was not the right thing to do… It caused a firestorm. Yet interestingly enough… [it was] as if every single crew member found their way to me and either quietly thanked me or sent me a note. But, yeah, it wasn’t my best day, sharing that. I shouldn’t have shared that. Because at the end of the day, that goes against my DNA. I don’t share things like that. And I take care of that kind of bullshit away from the public. They don’t need to know that. That’s why I say it wasn’t my best day.”
But Dwayne really can’t seem to help himself when it comes to Vin, because he spoke with SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle and Julia Cunningham about how there’s a Vin-crack in his new movie. But he has an explanation for that. The audience loves when he shits on Vin Diesel, so how could he not? via IndieWire:
“The jokes never end. People were asking me about [making Diesel jokes] and they just, they find a way, and you know, what’s interesting is, you know, these Vin diesel jokes, which play great by the way to the audience, which is always a good thing because it’s all about [the audience]. But, people think these jokes come from me and they actually don’t. I mean, you’d be surprised at how many people come to me with “I got a great one.” I’m like “okay.” “I got another great Vin Diesel joke.” “I’m sure you do.” [Laughs] Always funny.”
Who really believes that people just come up to Dwayne to tell him Vin Diesel jokes? But Vin is not going to take this lying down. He’s going to cram so many The Rock references into the next FF movie that it’s just going to be called: Fast and the Furious Roasting Of The Rock.
