Open Post: Hosted By A Congressman’s Tooth Falling Out On Live TV

Common decency is haunting the GOP. That’s my current theory to explain the recent uptick in members of the Republican party decomposing before our very eyes. One look at Mitch McConnell’s putrefied meat hooks, Steve Bannon’s raw ground beef complexion or Rudy Guiliani’s rancid corpse expelling purge fluid and noxious gas out of every hole, is all the proof we need! So when one of Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas’ teeth decided to commit suicide on live TV, I was not surprised in the least. That poor tortured bicuspid saw daylight and tried to leap to its death. That’s what you get when you refuse to wear a mask!

According to Mashable:

The Republican representative from Texas was voicing his opposition to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which would rename several military bases and other government property named after Confederate leaders. The NDAA also includes bonuses for service members. Trump has threatened to veto the NDAA because it does not remove legal protections for social media sites like Twitter, which flagged tweets containing false or misleading information about the U.S. election.

As he spoke, he appeared to pause mid-sentence as his tooth fell out.

Here’s the video at normal speed (it happens at about the 8:08 mark) followed by a slow motion clip of the incident, the audio of which nearly scared my dog to death when it started to play on the bluetooth (no relation) speaker downstairs. She was DEEPLY DISTURBED.

Mashable notes that the congressman had “refused to wear a mask during this pandemic” and predictably, “tested positive for the coronavirus in July,” and suggested “without any evidence, that he contracted COVID-19 from wearing a mask.” That led some people to speculate the tooth gave up the ghost because “people with pre-existing dental issues who had coronavirus have complained of losing their teeth” according to a New York Times article. But I’m still going with my haunting theory and hope that the Ghost of Common Decency doesn’t let up until all they’re all reduced to quivering mounds of gelatinous sludge.
