I’m pleased to report that Post Malone decided to end the year in the most Post Malone way possible. Which is to say that Post Malone located a few inches of un-inked skin on his face, and decided to fill it with a big tattoo in honor of the end of 2019. Not only is it officially a new year, but it’s also now that much more difficult to dress up as Post Malone for Halloween.
Page Six says that an artist named Kyle Hediger met Post at a location in Times Square shortly before Post was scheduled to take the stage at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020. Post stuck with the medieval theme from his music video for “Circles” and got a metal gauntlet and holding a spiked battle flail. Post now has a permanent ball on his chin. Something tells me Post is about to receive a whole bunch of promo codes for laser tattoo removal. Not that they’ll be used – Post reportedly told TMZ earlier this week that he’s got lots more tattoos planned for 2020.
I’d suggest that his new tattoo had the potential to upstage his performance, but I believe that would technically require him to remain upright on the stage? TMZ says it’s unclear as to whether Post lost his footing while already in the crowd, or if he straight-up fell off the stage. Regardless, security helped him to his feet, and he continued his performance.

I feel bad for anyone in that crowd who wasn’t really familiar with Post Malone. Imagine seeing Post Malone falling down onto you from a stage? Now imagine if you didn’t have any idea who he was. All you’d see is a shiny pink tinfoil suit and a big, fresh weapon tattoo coming directly at you, and you’d think, “Oh my god, I’m about to be crushed to death by Astronaut Barbie’s trashy Dungeons & Dragons-obsessed brother.”
