Honestly, if it wasn’t in the post title, would you have known that this was an ad for Subway until the end? Nope! Business Insider reported on this three-year-old commercial for Subway that recently went viral due to its weirdness. It looks like a damn Terrence Malick film until the girl with the Subway hat comes into focus in the end. You mean, all of our lives are leading up to the moment when we buy a 5 dollar foot long?
Here it is:

The commercial is, in fact, a real ad for Subway. Writer and Steak-umm social media manager Nathan Allebach tweeted a link to the original commercial on YouTube, which the sandwich chain’s Brazilian arm debuted in 2016.
Brazil must still be befuddled, three years later, from watching this Tree of Life bullshit with the pay-off being Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki.
It could be way worse. It could be Subway Jared promoting Subway’s new kids’ menu. *cringe*
