24-year-old Estanislao Fernández, the son of the newly-inaugurated Argentine President Alberto Fernández, made a statement with his pocket square at dad’s inauguration this week. Estanislao, whose other, even more glamorous self is a drag queen named Dyhzy, later revealed that it wasn’t just a brightly-colored pocket square in his suit jacket that day in Argentina’s equivalent to the Oval Office. It was a Pride flag! Unfurl it on them with sass, Dyhzy!

Queerty reports that, as opposed to here in #murica, the majority of Argentina’s voters exhibited a semblance of good taste when electing a leader. President Fernández is very proud of his kid.
President Fernández has referred to his son as “his greatest pride,” and commended him for his contribution to the queer community. “My son is a rights activist in that community,” he told Radio Con Vos via Ushuaia Noticias. “I would worry if my son was a criminal, but he is a great man. In that world, which I don’t know much about, [he] seems to be respected and very recognized. I have pride in my son, how can I not be proud?”
If that’s the case, then Dyhzy herself should have shown up to the inauguration to help dad usher in a whole new regime of glamour in Argentina. Then again, it was his day and it would be kind of rude to upstage him.
